Now Healthcare Group
Now Healthcare Group Ltd (NHG) is an mHealth company set to revolutionise the face of primary healthcare in the UK. The company, which was founded in 2014, created the first mobile app that allows patients to book a doctors appointment from their mobile phone or tablet, whilst on the go and have their medication delivered directly.

Through various services NHG enables not only remote consultation between GP and patient, but also the delivery of medicines to a patient's home or office, as well as facilitating collection from local pharmacies.

NHG’s platforms give users the instant medical care they need, eradicating lengthy waiting times and making appointments more accessible to the general public and private sector companies.

Their cross-platform app means that patients can discuss their symptoms with professional doctors from the comfort of their own home or on the go. The Now Pharmacy distribution hubs, for nationwide medicine deliveries, guarantee overnight delivery of medicines to the patient’s door and within London patients can receive medication is as little as 2 hours.

Come hear from the CEO & CIO of Now Healthcare Group on how they grew their start-up to a multi-million pound company and how their innovation is disrupting the way primary healthcare is delivered in the UK.

As VR technology becomes better, cheaper and more accessible, thanks in part to consumer-friendly headsets, a growing number of scientists, physicians and entrepreneurs are using it to treat medical conditions.

Virtual reality (VR) has been used to manage pain and distress associated with a wide variety of known painful medical procedures (including severe burns, cancer pain and chronic pain). In clinical settings and experimental studies, participants immersed in VR experience reduced levels of pain, general distress/unpleasantness and report a desire to use VR again during painful medical procedures.

Come hear from Dr. Alex Cahana of CLAAD on the clinical applications of VR in the medical setting and how this can help reduce costs by decreasing the dependency on opioids & provide patients with a better quality of care.
